Charlie Bason is a Chartered UK and European Patent Attorney, who is regulated by IPReg and is a CIPA and EPI member.

She co-authored, ‘The Dummies Guide to Patents, Registered Designs, Trade Marks and Copyright’ in 2008. She has personally assessed more than four thousand ideas since joining the profession in 2002.

Charlie has a degree in Industrial Design Engineering, and a Masters in Intellectual Property Law and Management. She worked for a leading design consultancy, followed by an invention house and now runs Venture Proof. During her career she has protected ideas across a huge variety of market sectors.

In 2011 Charlie spotted a gap in the market for a 21st Century IP Consultancy, and now works with partners, consultants and other experts to deliver advice, support & services to protect the assets of her growing client list.
